I had such a good experience delivering Oliver, well the second time I
attempting delivering Oliver I should say. Round 1: It all started out
on April 1st at about 10:30a.m. the contractions decided to make
themselves known. We headed to the hospital late that afternoon. The
maternity ward was so packed that the only place they had for me was in
the hallway, that's right ladies the hallway right in front of a huge window for all to see, but it didn't matter anyways because after some hard laboring and a few hours of walking the halls they sent me home due to the fact that I was not
progressing fast enough for them and because of how pact they were they
didn't mind sending me home. So they through a heavy duty pain pill at me and sent me on my way. Round 2: April 2nd we made a second attempt to the hospital around 3:30p.m. However this time around we were feeling a wee bit spoiled we got a huge private birthing room with the Jacuzzi tub and two fabulous nurses one of which
January and I titled as the "super nurse". However the best part of all
was getting the news that I was dilated to a four. "Hooray I get to stay, and I'm
NOT leaving until I have a little bundle in my arms." After 37hrs. of
hard labor and delivery our precious little spirit entered our arms. I couldn't have been more ecstatic. A special thanks to my wonderful husband for baring with a ol grouch for 37hrs. and to my Mom and January for enduring such a long process and sticking by me the whole time. Here are a few more picks of us at the hospital.
