Memories...

I saw this game on a friends blog and thought it looked like fun. you don't have to join in, but if you want to, read the instructions below...

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, If it is recent or years old, silly or serious-- anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you! If you don't want to play on your blog, or you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Runaway!

I was putting Oliver to bed when I realized I couldn't find Triston. Well he had managed to sneak out of the house and when I found him he was bare naked outside singing Poty Poty Poty. By time I got back with my camera he was down the road. Maybe I should start to potytrain what do you think? I hope the video is not inappropriate, if so close your eyes ;)

Mother Bird

I know somethings are not as neat if you don't see them in person, but I have to share this with you. My house just got painted and there are several birds nests on our house, well I had asked the painters to please mask off and salvage any birds nest they saw. Well when I came home that day I had seen a man putting a birds nest back where he had found it(mind you I didn't even know it existed). I thought to my self, " Crap now the bird is not going to live in its nest anymore". I was always told that once you touch a baby bird or a birds nest they will abandon it. As for all the rest of the bird nest? They were all painted they didn't do what I had politely asked. I was very upset. So to sum up the story one day I looked out my window at this birds nest I didn't even know existed and saw a bird sitting in it. I was so excited! So apparently the whole philosophy about touching birds nest doesn't always apply. Well a few days later I went to go check out the bird again and noticed it wasn't in the nest, however there was some movement. Well that movement happen to be baby birds, I was so excited I camped out at my window for the next day trying to get some good footage which was not easy seeing as in how the bird wouldn't come around when the window was open. Well she finally did and I got to video her feeding her babies. It was really neat to watch this. I am surprised she didn't fly away because you will notice in the video Triston was making alot of noise. I am so glad I was able to snag a once in a lifetime shot being that close to a bird feeding her babes. I have decided to put up a picture of mother nature on my blog daily, who knows if it will happen but I will give it my best shot.

Mount Rushmore

Both boys were sleeping in this picture, however the monument didn't rate high enough for us to wake them up, sorry George, Thomas, Teddy and Abe. Being that said Mount Rushmore was AMAZING! and so were the fireworks, I would feel selfish if I kept the show all to myself, so here is a little video to share. Enjoy the show! P.S. okay so the video is not working I am going to tackle that problem one of these days and get it going for you, cuz believe me you don't want to miss the show. It was hands down the best firework show I have ever seen.

Deadwood

Placing a Canadian penny on Calamity Jane's grave

Some memorabilia people have placed on her grave site (Notice the Jack Daniels bottle and Chew)

Wild Bill Hickok's grave stone

Me in between two of my all time favorite historical figures

Views of Deadwood

Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane's grave sites

I have always dreamed of going to Deadwood and seeing all the history of Calamity Jane. I was truly blessed to have been able to take this trip with my family and see such wonderful history. South Dakota is diffidently a must see State especially the Black hills.
